Evernote

If you’re like me then you use multiple devices over the course of a day (in my case it can be up to 6) and if like me you like to take notes wouldn’t it be great if you could take a note on one device and then for that note to be synced with all of your other devices? Well up until recently I thought that option was Google Docs which is fine if you’re on a PC or Mac with a full fat OS but I found it be be a little lacking on iOS and Android devices. But worry no longer intrepid note takers as Evernote is here to save the day.

Toshiba AT100 (Thrive)

For some reason even though it was the project name for this device you are now not allowed to call it the Thrive so we’re left with the catchy title of the AT100 (I’m sure you’ll agree that that’s just as catchy as iPad, Xoom or Tab… not!) but whatever it’s called what do we think about Toshiba’s second attempt at an Android tablet? GLaDOSiri

Following on from last weeks announcement of the iPhone5 iPhone4S Apple also introduced a new “innovation” called Siri, a voice activated piece of software which amongst other things allows you to send messages, check schedules or search for information. There has been something similar on Android for quite a while now called Vlingo.

Did the TouchPad stand a chance?

You may have heard the HP dropped the bomb at the end of this week by announcing along with their sales call that they’d be dropping all of their webOS hardware, so basically the Veer, the Pre and most importantly the TouchPad which could have been one of the iPad’s closest rivals but obviously no more. So what the hell happened?

The best of both worlds

First of all, before I start this post I do have to admit to loving my iPad (for gawd sake I have 3) but that’s nothing to do with it. I want you to run with this post knowing that fact and see what I think about competition and the dominance that Apple seem to be ruthlessly carving into the industry.
