OnLive Desktop

I love my iPad and considering the amount of staff where I work who’ve acquired one since its launch nearly two years ago and especially this Christmas you just get the feeling that the momentum behind the ‘only’ tablet is just going to continue to snowball. But even though they are all converts to Apple’s immature platform the one thing that they all ask for is Windows and Office functionality and finally I can say… you can have it!

Netflix

So after months of promises and waiting Netflix has finally arrived in the UK. If you’re not familiar with the service it’s basically the American rival to LoveFilm but in the UK it soley streams video so no discs popping through the door. So what’s it like? Well I’ve been giving it a whirl to see what all the fuss is about.

iOS: Find My Friends

For the last year or so I’ve been completely hooked on FourSquare. Now I know that revealing your location via GPS to the world for points and goodies may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I’ll have two sugars with that.

So with the release of iOS5 Apple announced its Find My Friends app. It uses GPS to triangulate your location but where with FourSquare you check into a pinned location Find My Friends broadcasts your location live. Now I’ve been wanting to test this for a while but haven’t really had the opportunity but when myself and Craig discovered that we were both going to be in the centre of Norwich today we though that we would give it a shot.
