Tech Support: Fix your PC’s boot

Try as I might I just can’t get along with Linux. It’s a great system to use, incredibly secure and becoming more user friendly with each incarnation but it lacks the programs that I have become accustomed to on a Windows system. OK, I’m sacrificing the peace of mind that my system is nigh on bulletproof but I want to use Photoshop! I want to use Dreamweaver and play the games I love. It is what I was taught on, it’s what I want from a computer.

Utility of the Day : FlashFire

If you’re an early netbook adopter and it’s one of those with a miniscule solid state hard drive pre-installed with some dodgy Linux distro you may have thought of moving up to XP. But you may have found that XP doesn’t run too fast. This is to do with the lame read/write speeds on some SSDs. I’ve had the same problem on my daughters netbook but tonight I solved it. Download and install FlashFire an app for improving the read/write speed on these early machines. As soon I’d done the deed all was fine and dandy.
